I love how unique Danielle’s layouts are and the way she can just slap that paint around and make it look good. I’m still trying to figure that one out, you must loosen your wrist and not think too hard about what you’re doing. Same applies for doodling apparently.
Danielle has used the red wax and seal that comes with this kit. You have to try this! Melting stuff is so much fun!

This is neat! Paint splashed across the background and a ship sailing the high seas. A little bit of pirate goes a long way.
Danielle is a multi- talented sort of girl, not only is she regularly published in both feature articles and readers/themed galleries but she also does some mean graphic/web design. She put together both our advert in the latest Up2Scrap and our new website banner too. I believe the creative talent runs in the family as her sister Kelly Ingram was recently selected alongside our own Nikala O’Brien as part of the new For Keeps magazine design team. Congratulations to them both!
And while we are in the spirit of congratulations, go Jo Kneller! Jo made the Up2Scrap elite team with her innovative designs and is a wonderful supporter of Paper Pesto (thanks Jo).

Over the next few days I will be posting some pirate kit inspiration with designs from the wonderful Danielle Quarmby.
Here is her project for the month – a mini book perfect as a gift for a pirate you may know! How cool is this??
Full pictures and instructions can be found in the classroom, I have only shown a few images here.

Here’s yet another layout from Kelly using this month’s limited edition Pirate kit. She’s really managed to make her kit go a long way. I love the close up photo in this layout.

The neat circle pattern on the background is an easy but effective technique using paint and bubble wrap. Nice to see packaging being reused instead of thrown out! Very considerate of you Kell.

Ann thought she’d show you how easy and effective it is to make cards using a simple design that can be used over and over again. These cards below are the same as what she taught at Scrap Pink but are using the Formal Affair collection.

Instructions for these cards can be found in our classroom. Wouldn’t they just be perfect for engagement or wedding congratulations?!
What a gorgeous day! What are you up to this weekend? Let us know and there will be spot prizes involved!

Ann created this layout with the Formal Affair kit. I love the way she has sprayed the flowers across the layout and scalloped her bling bazzill. Who thinks we should ask her for instructions for this one??

Our lovely Ann has had her head down the last few weeks working on our latest Deluxe kit aptly named ‘A Formal Affair’. I just can’t wait to show you what she’s been up too, we were just blown away here. What do you think? Here is the boxed concertina album Ann created..

Isn’t it just gorgeous??!!

Kelly mentioned how much fun she’s had with this month’s Boots n’ Bones Pirate Kit, and her layouts reflect this. Her pages capture that playful, imaginative, amusing mood, and not just in respect of the younger members of her family either.

Thanks Kelly.
