Our lovely Celeste Vermeed sent me some extra layouts (on top of her DT work) from the Jan kit to share.
She is such a darling and she takes the most gorgeous photographs; check it out.
I love the way she has gone crazy on the paint. It makes a great bold background for the black and white photo.

The stamps are Celeste’s own.

So I have been having a wee play with the Jan kit myself, couldn’t help it really, it’s just too yummy sitting on my desk looking up at me like it needs to be cut up and transformed into layouts!
This first one is about my aims for 2008, I’m not such a big resolution girl but it’s nice to have something to look at to remind me to think yeah I should be working on that . I made this layout after thinking about things and writing a list and the first on the list was do more, procrastinate less. This is a big one for me, I’m always wishing I could do more scrapping but then it just doesn’t happen. Sometimes I need to shut my computer down and just start something. Once I’m started just you try and stop me!So thats what happened here, I put down the list and pulled out my supplies, and I didn’t stand there humming and haring over it for 2 hours either, I just went with my gut and stuck things down. I’m pleased with how it came out so I must try that more often!

The next one is just a cute girly layout of Sophia’s first steps (some time ago now lol). I loved cutting out the shapes in the ding a lings paper and pop dotting some of them to make them stand out.

Dione put together this cute mini book with her leftover paper, paint and the transparency sheet.

Dione has liberally splashed the paint around on this one, giving the layout a fun and free feel. The calendar page background adds to the theme of time.

YUM that lollipop looks good!! Here Celeste has just cut around a corner of the transparency to embellish the layout. Gorgeous.

This is great advice for everyone not just teens!
Here Dione has cut around several of the flowers on the Fancy Pants paper and slotted her photo underneath them so the flowers overlap the corner of the picture. She has added extra flowers and embellishments to the flower scene at the bottom of the paper and placed blue alpha stickers underneath the orange in the word “Summer” to highlight it.

The doodling around the edges adds such a whimsical touch to this gorgeous layout. Celeste has painted one of the scalloped chipboard pieces and used it to frame a lovely quote from the die cut sheet. She has used this as the centre of a cluster of embellishments which perfectly accent the photo of her daughter.

Celeste has teamed the wheat coloured Basic Grey with the Sassafrass Lass ding a lings and Crate Paper girly girl papers as well as the Fancy Pants die cut embellishments to show that it is possible to put several different patterned paper designs (from different manufacturers) together and pull it off successfully. It’s all about colour choices and placing the various patterns far away from each other on the page so that they don’t clash.
The clear flowers, brads and alphabet used for ‘curls’ are Celeste’s own and are not part of the kit but they add a great touch!
That is one of the great things about our kits, while they can be used complete as is, they can also be easily supplemented with what you may already have to hand in your stash.

A nice refreshing layout about Dione’s son C.J.

I love the way she has imitated the wavy pattern of the background paper with her journaling. It really brings it all together, and is a great way to use the rub-on words.

This is a photo of Dione’s two lovely girls having just had their braces off. Certainly a reason to smile and celebrate!
She has stamped her title with paint and highlighted the bottom of the page by using part of the shaped making memories paper.
